Hi Becky! Thanks so much for stopping by! First of all, you are going to love Japan! Second of all, don’t panic! Although Japan is small there are a lot of places you can go to buy what you need! There’s a store called Nitori that I just love; that’s where I bought all my curtains, bedding, and rugs. Now, if you have a particular style I would recommend to buy all your area rugs in the US before you leave because you won’t have much selection to choose from once you are in Japan. If you love the holiday’s definitely stock up on holiday decor!! That’s where I struggled the most. The Japanese don’t celebrate the holidays like we do so holiday decor will be hard to find! Where in Japan will you be? We got lucky to expirience both Mainland and Okinawa, this will help me more and point you to local stores!
