DIY: Butterfly Wreath
As the seasons change throughout the year, there are certain things I love about each of them. Today let’s talk spring!
Spring is the rebirth of the beautiful thing we call nature. Mother Nature has had her beauty rest and is ready to wake up and show us what she can do.
To me, when I thinking of Spring I think of rain, flowers, and butterflies. For a long time, I have always seen the rain as something that washes away the old dirt and leaves behind something to improve. The second part of spring I like is flowers. The daffodils, the crocuses, the tulips, the lilies, and many others that greet you in the spring are just so pretty. And butterflies, they represent new beginnings, giving us hope for what the future has to bring.
This spring I’m inspired by butterflies which brings me to this Butterfly Wreath DIY that I’m sharing with you today!
Incorporating butterflies into your home can make the perfect statement that you’ve been searching for. These mesmerizing creatures not only bring in vibrant colors, but also happiness. They can demonstrate transformation of physical spaces, but also the inner transformation of one’s soul.
Here are the materials you will need from your local craft store.
- 2 wired faux branches from the floral section
- Floral Wire
- Wire Cutters
2: Use additional wire to secure the flyaway pieces to the hoop, allowing some pieces to still pull away giving the wreath base a wispy look.
3: Attach the butterflies to the base. The butterflies have attached wires which make it very easy to attach to the branches. Then simply shape their wings to look like real butterflies who’ve just landed on your wreath.
That’s it! How simple is that! I’m thinking of moving this wreath to my daughter’s room, I have the perfect gold frame to place it on.
