Juliet's 7th Birthday

Monday, August 25, 2014

Seven years ago my husband and I were blessed with a beautiful baby girl. She became our sunshine and a new love in our lives. Seven years have gone by and no matter how much she continues to grow she will always be my bundle of joy and my little ray of sunshine. To my little Juliet Sue may your day be filled with love, joy, and happiness. Happy Birthday sweet baby girl!

Although we did not have a birthday party for Juliet this year, I did bake her a cake and took her camping and fishing. I am not the best baker... actually I don't like to bake at all, but for some crazy reason I love baking cakes just cakes and sometimes cupcakes. But I always bake my kids birthday cakes. I started this little tradition with my kids after hearing a story of my husbands mother who baked his birthday cakes. I never got the chance to meet my mother-in-law, she passed away when my husband was 15 years old. After hearing his story I wanted to continue her lovely tradition with our children. And I hope that our children will continue this tradition with their children.

My homemade cakes may not be fancy but they are baked with love.

Happy Birthday my sweet Juliet Sue!

A Spoonful of Sugar Craft Party

Sunday, August 10, 2014

I love creating and sharing my creativity with others and through the friendships I have made from Paint Me Pink I took a leap of faith and decided to host my own craft party. But I didn't do it alone I had my very talented friend and co-host Shawna of Taiya's Treasures, Ivonne Sanchez Makely, and Maria Hristova for help me create a fun and simple atmosphere that everyone would enjoy. It was such a fun day and a true pleasure meeting everyone who attended!

What is "A Spoonful of Sugar" you ask? Well it's a fun creative and inspiring day spent crafting, enjoying delicious food, drinking cocktails, beautiful giveaways, fun games, and of course having sweet conversations with beautiful talented ladies. It's our fun way to bring our people together.

Since Shawna and I were hosting the craft party, I managed to take some pictures while we were setting up before the guests arrived. Unfortunately during the event I completly forgot about taking pictures so here's a small glimps of A Spoonful of Sugar craft party.

Be Inspired. Inspire. Create.

Sharing the love, and a big thank you to all the lovely and talented sponsors for all the wonderful swag and giveaway goodies! You can also click on the shop title to visit their lovely handmade shops.
