Servings 3 Pears

Ingredients

  • 3 small pears
  • 1 10 oz bag of Ghirardelli White Vanilla Flavored Melting Wafers
  • 1 carrot
  • yellow food coloring
  • black writing gel

Instructions

  • Start by washing the pears and pat dry.
  • In a small microwaveable mixing bowl, melt chocolate in 30-second intervals, stirring at each interval until fully melted. Add yellow food coloring and stir until smooth.
  • Then hold the pear by the stem and carefully dip them into the melted chocolate. Place the pears onto a plate with parchment paper to cool. Let the chocolate set for at least 10 minutes.
  • Add two eyes using the black writing food gel.
  • Peel a carrot and cut a small triangle for the beak and six rectangles for the feet. Connect the carrot beak and feet to the pear using the extra melted chocolate.

Notes

  • Make sure you buy pears that have stems. This way, it's easier to dip into the chocolate.
  • For every 10 oz bag of Ghirardelli White Vanilla Flavored Melting Wafers, you can make 3 pears.
