Spring Wreath and M&M’s

Let’s talk Spring! How did your first day of spring go? I sufficiently avoided anything productive and explored the beach, the park, and a farmers market. A perfect way to ring in the new season! Everything is in bloom all over Japan and I’m really feeling the changing of the season; the flower festivals, strawberry picking, cherry blossoms, special ice cream flavors just for Spring!

We celebrate two birthdays, my Husband Derrick, who turned 34 years young and my sweet little Scarlet who turned eight. We decided to keep it simple this year and not throw birthday parties. We took Scarlet to her favorite places and of course one of them was the beach. She loves being near water and we love watching her play and chase the waves. Her birthday is right when everything is starting to bloom and all the pretty pastel colors are starting to show up in stores. From soft pinks to soothing yellows Scarlet was meant for this season.

You can say I was inspired by her sweetness and her love for chocolate to make this Spring wreath.
