A Simple Christmas Table Setting

“When it snows, you have two choices: shovel or make snow angels.”

Today I’m sharing a simple table setting with you all. Even though I love the traditions Christmas colors I decided to stick with the blue color scheme this December. I know blue doesn’t scream Christmas but it’s a calm soothing color and if you pair it with white it’s like a winter wonderland. If you missed my Christmas living room tour yesterday you can check it out hereI’ve also linked up with some talented blogging friends who are also sharing their Christmas tablescapes.

As you all know, I love simple inexpensive things. It’s important to me to create things on a budget not because I can’t afford them but because I love giving our home character.

Since moving to Japan I have embraced the beautiful colors of the ocean and our kids have embraced and welcomed the Japanese culture into their lives. In school they have their own Japanese class where they are taught Japanese and they have a chance to visit and learn more about the Japanese schools system. With that said, origami has become part of Juliet’s daily art. She has become a pro with this beautiful Japanese paper craft that I just had to display them in our home. She made these darling little blue birds for our table and I absolutely adore how they look!

I used little white trees, ceramic candle holders, and garland I found at our local Daiso (dollar store). Turquoise ornaments, light blue cups, and candles made this table setting bright and dreamy for a perfect winter setting.

Grab some hot cocoa and enjoy going though this beautiful holiday Tablescape line up!

XOXO,

Norma
